I'm sorry I have been very busy and could not post as much as I wanted...
Kids are doing very well...This is a very lovely group as everyone just loves creating,playing with paint and dough..I love this group ! We are having so much fun and the children who started this year are adapting very well and behave very very nicely while the more experienced know the rules and are very independant.This really is helpful.Everyone is so nice and cheerful and so happy that I enjoy every second of this friday Club !
We have been using our " colour recipes "in order to copy this great piece of Art from Magnelli.
I do think that copying the Masters of Art is an excellent way of understanding how they have worked,how they have created hues and how they managed to lay things out on their canvas.Without having to explain anything,which could be boring after a long day at school,everyone instinctly guess how the painter has worked.
After dry pastels ( last year),charcoal and gouache,we have now started to use acrylic.I'd love to use more pastel but I find it hard to clean the floor afterwards.....I wish I had a huge floor cover...
We also started to make some X'mas deco...with clay and bread !
You know that I try to recycle as much as possible...so if you can give your child some empty boxes of cereals and empty carton boxes of teabags ( to build small houses )...flattened...it would be great as they are great for paint and craft.
